What is Camp Cowen staff?

Working on staff at the West Virginia Baptist Camp at Cowen is an opportunity of a lifetime! It’s a great summer to live with a community of believers and a great way to learn new skills, grow in your walk with Christ and serve God in a mighty way. All staff members live together in hotel style at the Rev. Jim Cunningham Staff and Retreat House and enjoy fellowship and weekly Bible Studies together.

All applicants must be able to live on-site during their employment. Housing and meals are provided along with a weekly stipend. The typical workweek is from Sunday 1:00 pm until Saturday at 12:00 pm or as soon as all cleaning is complete. Although the work is demanding, it is highly rewarding and offers an opportunity to serve others and be challenged to grow spiritually, emotionally, and vocationally.

All Cowen staff members earn a stipend of $325 per week plus room and board. A $100 bonus is given when contract days are completed at the end of the summer.
